Murder Mystery Dinner Performed by the Brickstreet Players! [Recap]
The Murder Mystery Dinner was a HUGE, rockin' success. The talent of the Brickstreet Players was wonderful and the evening was full of laughter, [MY WORD!]. It was truly a treat to see so many turn out for this event! We hope you had as much fun as we did!
We'd like to take a special moment to thank the FABULOUS Emily Dahm and Erin Meuller for their devotion to this social. They are the driving force behind making these events happen and without them, we wouldn't be able to pull these things off with nearly as much flair and professionalism. THANK YOU BOTH for volunteering your talents to the Cannon Spouses' Club. You are truly appreciated!!!
The CSC was nowhere near prepared for how many people would want to partake in the festivities. It's amazing to see that the CSC is making strides in out community and that word is getting out that we're here! Next year, we hope to have the ability to include so many more of y'all.

Cannon Spouses' Club Elections, 2014-2015 Board Year
Attention all Spouses! It's election time for the Cannon Spouses' Club! Executive Board positions will be open for nomination beginning at this month's social, February 20 and go through March 20.
If you are interested in serving as President, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Secretary or Treasurer or know someone who is, let us know.
All spouses are eligible; however, you must be a member to nominate, and, yes, you can nominate yourself! If nominated, you must be a member paid in full by the April social to be elected. Elections will be held at the April Bingo Social!
Also, with the start of the new board year, all committee chair positions will be open too. They are appointed positions. If you are interested give us your name. Co-chairing is definitely allowed and encouraged!

Scholarship Applications Coming Soon!
For those spouses and seniors eagerly awaiting our Scholarship Application - the time is almost here! We will be posting an edited version of this document on our website, here on the blog and will have them in-hand at the CSC Thrift Shop 1 Feb 2014.
The deadline for submissions is 31 March 2014 - so start collecting those transcripts and prepping essays! We are so excited to have you apply!

A Note From Our President
Seasons Greetings!
With the end of 2013 approaching, the Cannon Spouses’ Club is ending the year on a high note. After months of planning and preparation, on November 22, the CSC hosted our Annual Charity Auction, themed “It’s a Wonderful Life.” We were fortunate enough to have numerous generous donors contribute everything from grills and fireplaces, to gym memberships and kids toys. And thanks to the time and effort of all our volunteers, the night was a huge success. Over 200 people attended the event at The Landing, in spite of the icy weather. It was an unforgettable night and we raised $24,000 for charity! That is over a 50% increase from last year’s auction - amazing.
This hard-earned money goes directly into various charitable projects. We provide birthday gifts to orphans in Portales, Random Acts of Kindness benefiting Cannon AFB families, support for our airmen and their programs, among other community charitable efforts. But most of all, we were able to double our scholarship money to awarding $9,000 this upcoming year to deserving Cannon spouses and kids.
The success of the Auction will open many doors. And we, the CSC Board, are so excited about the wonderful things we can do for our Cannon AFB, Clovis and Portales communities with this money. Thank you again to those who contributed to the Auction’s success. 2014 will be better than ever for the CSC!
